How to Write an Airbnb Title That Gets More Clicks in 2026

Your title is the single most-read piece of text on your entire listing. In search results, most guests decide whether to tap your listing based on three things: the cover photo, the price, and the title. You only control the words for one of those — so make them count.

Here's how to write an Airbnb title that earns the click, without the keyword-stuffing tricks that make a listing look desperate.

Lead with what makes you different

Airbnb already tells the guest the basics — location, property type, price. Your title shouldn't waste its limited characters repeating them. "Lovely 2 Bed Apartment" tells a guest nothing they can't already see.

Instead, lead with the one thing that genuinely sets you apart:

  • A standout feature: "Rooftop hot tub with sea views"
  • A specific guest win: "5-min walk to the station — perfect for commuters"
  • A genuine experience: "Quiet cabin, no neighbours, big skies"

If you're not sure what your differentiator is, ask your best guests what they loved. Their answer is usually your title.

Front-load the most important words

Titles get truncated on mobile, often after 30–40 characters. Whatever matters most needs to be at the start, not buried at the end where it gets cut off with an ellipsis.

Read your title as just the first 35 characters. Does it still sell the place? If not, reorder it.

Be specific, not superlative

"Amazing," "stunning," and "luxury" are the most over-used words on the platform, which means they've stopped meaning anything. Specifics are far more persuasive than adjectives:

"Stunning luxury retreat" → "Wood-fired hot tub + 40 acres of forest"

Concrete details build trust because they're checkable. Vague hype does the opposite.

Match the words guests actually search

Think about why someone books your area, and use their language. A ski-season guest searches differently from a business traveller. If you're a 10-minute walk from a famous beach, say "beach" — that's the word people type. Just keep it honest: never claim "beachfront" if you're a 10-minute walk away. A title that over-promises wins the click but loses the review.

Avoid the things that get titles ignored

  • ALL CAPS and emoji spam — looks like a scam, not a home.
  • Repeating the location — it's already shown separately.
  • Punctuation salad★★★ BEST DEAL!!! ★★★ reads as noise.
  • Lying for the click — the fastest route to a one-star "not as described" review.

A simple formula that works

If you're stuck, this structure rarely fails:

[Standout feature] + [who it's perfect for or where it is]

Examples:

  • "Hot tub cabin — perfect for couples"
  • "Bright loft, 2 min to Old Town"
  • "Garden flat with home office + fast WiFi"

The honest caveat

A great title gets the click. It can't fix a weak cover photo, an incomplete description, or a price that's out of step with your market. The title is one lever among many — and the right wording depends on who your specific listing competes with.
